Dried apricots are fresh apricots which have been naturally sun dried and pitted. Fresh apricots are great sources of nutrients, but once dehydrated, some other nutrients become more concentrated. There is a significant amount of natural sugar in apricots, so dried forms do not
require additional sugars or preservatives to further increase shelf life, unlike some other dried fruits.
